Surya Ventures Corp was incorporated in Canada in 1999 when the Patel family moved from Malawi

Our president, Rajan Patel, is a trained engineer with over 25 years of experience in the agro-processing of split peas, rice and oilseeds (such as peanuts and sunflower seeds).  His decades of experience in the agri-business of Malawi (Southern Africa) give him a unique facility to perceive and develop this global market opportunity.

A full-scale, working model of our system can be seen operating in Pickering, Ontario, Canada. 

Message from the president

"We keep hearing with depressing regularity how deep the problems of poverty and development are. While we agree with that, we strongly believe the solutions are also within reach. Poverty reduction and development are a process, and we are quite skeptical about the political and economic establishments’ ability to seriously tackle underlying policy issues in the short term. That leaves the best option for the short term as actions taken  by ordinary people around the world to empower themselves by taking advantage of available opportunities. Maximizing the returns on the available resources is paramount. We believe we are providing a unique opportunity for people around the world to do exactly that.

We believe our system provides the best opportunity on the planet today, for ordinary people in rural areas worldwide, to create wealth in a short time span, while at the same time solving multiple community problems. Which community does not want to see safe drinking water supply, some access to power, reduced incidence of disease, better community  income and health opportunities?
